Apartment Building

It is a residential intervention built on an area on the border between the municipalities of San Giuliano Milanese and San Donato Milanese.
Initially, the Studio A-Side has proposed a project to be realized entirely in wood.
However, it has been executed, pursuant to the Client’s choice, as a traditional construction by limiting the timber structures to the roofing system.
The intervention is designed, however, according to high sustainability and energy efficiency criteria, with the outer casing, realized with a micro ventilated coat system, a floor heating system operated by two gas-powered heat pumps, photovoltaic panels to produce the electricity needed for common parts of the buildings (staircase, garage, garden, exterior walkways), rainwater collection tubes from the rainforest network with filtration and reuse for irrigation of green areas.
